Cherry Shirley Temple with Salman Sour Cherry Juice

آبمیوه آلبالو سلمان

The Shirley Temple is often called the first mocktail: a sparkling, ruby-red drink that has been served at family celebrations for almost a century. The classic recipe combines ginger ale or lemon-lime soda with grenadine. In this version, Salman sour cherry juice replaces the syrup and gives a fresher, fruitier taste with a pleasant sour note.

Preparation time: 3 min · Servings: 1

Ingredients (1 glass)

  • 60 ml Salman sour cherry juice
  • 150 ml lemon-lime soda or ginger ale
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • For garnish: a cocktail cherry and a lemon slice

How to make it

  1. Fill a highball glass with ice.
  2. Pour in the soda, leaving about a quarter of the glass empty.
  3. Slowly pour the sour cherry juice over the top; it sinks and creates a red gradient.
  4. Add the lemon juice.
  5. Garnish with the cherry and lemon slice and serve with a straw.

Tips and variations

  • Pour the cherry juice over the back of a spoon for a cleaner layered look.
  • For a less sweet drink, use unsweetened soda water instead of lemonade.
  • For children’s parties, serve it in small glasses with colourful straws.

Why Salman juice works well in mocktails

Salman fruit drinks are non-carbonated, contain 25% juice and have a steady, balanced taste from bottle to bottle, so a recipe tastes the same every time you make it. The 800 ml glass bottle is a practical size for parties: one bottle is enough for about five to six glasses.
